MS Office introduced in the year 1987 has enhanced the speed of work and enriched the work life of an employee. With the introduction of this package by Microsoft all of a sudden dramatic changes occurred in the work system followed in the periods prior to 1987.  Earlier people were using WordStar and QuickPro, FoxPro, which has been replaced with latest and ultra modern package of Microsoft Office applications.  All of a sudden there occurred a dramatic change in the work style with the introduction of IBM Computers and other Companies also upgraded their Computer to run Windows and MS Office.  The easy and quick actions of these applications changed the technology and brought a revolution in the office work of each employee.

MS Excel is one of the packages application introduced by Microsoft.  Microsoft applications started spreading like anything its development was very quick and aspiring.  Even though MS Excel has been very helpful to people to do calculations but other applications like Power Point and MS Word has also brought considerable change in the working conditions of most of the Companies.  This change of system has helped in upgrading the status of Companies to grow.

How to find out Sum of  Given Values in Excel?

In excel to find out Sum of Values-
Open Excel Work Book
In Sheet 1 Add Row Data of Products
Write Formula on the bottom of values '=Sum(B2:B6)' , '=Sum(D2:D6)'  
Press Enter

MULTIPLICATION OF VALUES :  

Consider we have given Product Quantity and Rate, then How to find out Total Value of the Given Products' Quantities:

Open Excel Work Book
In Sheet 1 Add Row Data of Products
Write Product Quantity and Product Rate then Go to Total Amount Column and write down the Formula  '=(B2*C2)' and Click Enter then the Total Amount will appear on the last column.  You can drag it down to get all Total Values in the stock and enter formula on the bottom Cell 'D7' ='Sum(D2:D6)'. 









MS WORD

Microsoft's Word application has been renowned for its easy usage.  Microsoft's word application brought revolution in typing jobs. Various typing jobs like preparing resumes, important letters, offers to candidates for jobs, purchase orders all these regular office work converted into MS Word's domain within a few years of its introduction in the year 1987.  Like Excel MS Word also brought static change in the work culture and every where the work becomes so fast and its introduction given way for better opportunities those idle candidates who does not know anything about computer could reach out to computers and word application made it easy to handle any type of communications.  Some of the benefits people enjoyed after introduction of Word application are -

Typewriters have been replaced with Modern day computers with latest technologies having installed Windows and MS Office.

There occurred a practice of making drafts.

The draft print out were corrected properly inside the computer itself without going for correction fluid.

In the old typewriter period correction fluids were abundantly used by every one, who normally commits mistake by those who are doing work without proper thinking.

Modern day software introduced many other fruitful out comes like inserting a Photo/image on the phase of the Resumes through the system itself, earlier the pasting work of photos were done with glue stick/gum tube.

Later on when different language packages were introduced poets / writers were turned to write their poems and stories in Computers.

Paper wastage reduced to great extend with introduction of MS Word, where people were making mistakes in the typewriter while typing letters etc. were torn abundantly and then type in another paper again if there is a mistake again you type it finalize.  But after introduction of word the work reduced drastically and the correction started from the Computer itself.

Even though WordStar was there previously but it was not suitable for easy corrections and the printing was not good after introduction of MS Word, many new fonts and printing different styles with borders etc. were introduced.

If the number of pages to be typed is too long then it was not easy to type and edit the long pages after introduction of MS Word this has been very smooth, you can type any number of pages and print it easily.

MS Word Introduction:

MS Word is an useful application for making classic documents with ease to handle the documentation scenario of the public at large.  The number of users of MS Word is still innumerable even though some other Software Companies have also introduced such applications even though the quality of MS Word cannot be compared with any other applications on the same grid.
